Winter Paralympics

OK, so I said I was not going to write more tonight, but hey, things change.

So, the point of this post is to talk about the Winter Paralympics, what are they you say, are they on the T.V.? They are the Olympics for people with a Physical Disability and no, they are not on the T.V. The BBC, the nations biggest broadcaster could not be bothered to save any of their budget for this minority, why would anyone want to watch this even, Disabled people are clearly not in the BBC’s thinking now they have lost the 2012 Paralympic T.V. rights to channel 4. It really does annoy me how little effort the BBC have put into publicizing these games, borderline embarrassing.  If you do want to watch any of the games, you can do so here. Why the Beeb continue to ignore Disabled sports is amazing, I for one am glad they have lost the 2012 rights to the Paralympics, I really hope channel 4 do them justice, since they decided to bid for them one might assume they want them, rather than like years gone by, the Paralympic T.V. rights have been bundled in with the Olmpic rights, not anymore though, come on C4, do not let us down!

I couldn’t agree more. Some officials have banded around the excuse of the time difference and thus the practicalities of broadcasting the events being too expensive. Rubbish! They managed it for the Olympics. At what point was it decided that the Paralympics were less important or relevant! http://inspiremagazineuk.wordpress.com/2010/03/12/winter-paralympics-2010/
