I’ve been driving in my car, it’s not quite a jaguar
I hope the title helps you realise, I have my car, it arrived on Wednesday. I was very excited that morning, it arrived half hour before I expected.
When it arrived, I was of course very happy, I went out to see the car, it is the first time I had seen it from the front, it looked like a beast. Chris Elliot and one of his employees spent the next half hour showing me how everything worked. Plenty of it I knew, some of it was a pleasant surprise. My VW Caddy has a sport mode, whoop whoop. After them showing me everything, I had to sign loads of papers, hand over a cheque, then they left. My was present too, don’t think she was bothered by the whole experience, but she joined me in going back outside to sit in the car. After we sat in there, I decided I wanted to go for a short drive, Em was not happy, worried in case anything went wrong, but I was pretty pumped. The drive was fantastic, only went out for 10 minutes, returned safely.
On Thursday, I drove the car loads, I went to get some fuel, went to halfords, went to show the car off to family friends, was fantastic. I am getting better at it all the time, the hand controls are so easy to use, no idea why I was so worried.
Using the throttle with my right hand is fine, the sport mode is fun but uses plenty of fuel I think. There is also cruise control, took me a few attempt, but I can now put it on easily.
The whole thing still is not over, the GPS system is yet to be fitted, that will be done next Thursday, after that, 5 years of smooth driving!
